Go on a 8 day adrenaline packed adventure and discover some of the most breathtaking landscapes the Dominican Republic has to offer. Start your journey in the mountain town of Jarabacoa where you will go horseback riding to a majestic waterfall, then go rafting down the canyons and rapids of the Yaque del Norte River. Then head North towards the Amber Coast, stoping by the 27 charcos, a collection of waterfalls you will jump and slide down. Arrive at the Amber Coast and spend some time in Cabarete, the kite surfing capital of the world. You will have the chance to go snorkeling, take a kitesurfing or windsurfing course, explore the nearby city of Puerto Plata and learn about it's colonial history, or simply sleep in and enjoy the beach. Spend your last day in Santo Domingo's Colonial Zone, the first european settlement in the western hemispher and a historic walled quarter of the city with famed food and music.

Day 1: Welcome to the Dominican Republic!

Arrive into Santo Domingo and spend your first night in the Colonial Zone, a historic walled quarter of the city with famed food and music. Take a guided walking tour or wander on your own with some recommendations from our team - this is a great introduction to Dominican culture and hot island weather. Bienvenidos!

Day 2: Horseback riding in Jarabacoa

Drive to Jarabacoa and settle into your eco-lodge nestled in the heart of the “Dominican Alps”. After a typical Dominican lunch at your eco lodge, ride a horse to Salto Baiguate, a 82-foot waterfall surrounded by nature through lush vegetation, tropical surroundings and villages where you can see some aspects of Dominican culture. After taking a refreshing dip in the Baiguate Waterfall, pass by La Melaza and enjoy some fresh fruit smoothies at this great local spot.

Day 3: White water rafting at Yaque del Norte

After breakfast at the lodge, hop on a raft and ride down the cool waters of the Yaque del Norte, the longest river in the Caribbean. With the help of professional guides, you will whizz through canyons and rapids with the most breathtaking views. Feel the excitement as you go down some of the most impressive rapids in the country.

Day 4: Explore the beauty of the north coast

After breakfast head off on an adventure-packed day. Drive toward the north coast of the Dominican Republic, an area known for its majestic coast and gorgeous beaches. Stop along the way to take advantage of 27 Charcos, crystal waterfalls to slide down. Tuck into lunch near the waterfalls before continuing to the beach town of Cabarete, famous for windsurfing. Settle into your hotel right on the coast for dinner and a peaceful evening.

Day 5: Catamaran exploring

After breakfast, embark on a full day catamaran excursion with lunch by the water and the chance to see an underwater world with a snorkel in the bluest of waters. After a full day of fun in the sun, return to your hotel for dinner on your own.

Day 6: A day tailored just for you

This day is yours to spend as you wish. Take a windsurfing or kite surfing course, see the sights of the nearby city of Puerto Plata (with a trip to the famed Brugal rum factory), or simply kick back and enjoy the beach.

Day 7: Back to Santo Domingo

After one last swim in the ocean, head back to Santo Domingo. Visit the cenote caves at Tres Ojos National Park or explore the Colonial Zone’s local watering holes, chic modern restaurants, and galleries of Afro-Caribbean folk art.
